Comet football tight end Ethan Cesarz, a senior, was named to the WSN Preseason All-State Football first team.
Cesarz is the only player from the Southern Lakes Conference to make the list of talented high school football players. The lists used traditional position lineups and were limited to 11 players on offense and defense plus specialists.
As a junior, Cesarz had 36 receptions for 526 yards and three touchdowns, according to stats from WisSports.net. Defensively, Cesarz recorded 95 tackles from his linebacker position, including 8 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He also caused seven fumbles.
He’ll be counted on for his senior leadership with hopes of bringing the Comets another playoff birth!
