The Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) offers more than $150 billion each year in grants, loans, and work study funds for college or career school. The application window to apply for this funding is open now.
DDHS is hosting a FAFSA and college planning information session:

- Time: 6-7 p.m.
- Who: All DDHS students and parents, especially juniors and seniors
Financial Advisor Jim Pfeil from Thrivent will be on hand for this workshop, designed for all DDHS students and their parents. The discussion of topics will include applying for FAFSA, the EFC or “Expected Family Contribution” toward college, the total cost of college, and the relationships between academic performance in high school, college admissions and financial aid.
Attendees will also learn about projecting future college costs, tax-advantaged ways to save for college, the basics of financial aid and ways to fill the college funding gap.
