Announcements:

Attention Students: Delavan-Darien High School is hosting a Career/Job Fair on Friday, February 15th from 8:00-10:00 am.  Students will have an opportunity to inquire about a variety of careers and possible job openings during this time. Community members who are business owners who may be interested in having a booth at the event should email Kelly Pickel, Career and Occupations Coordinator at kpickel@ddschools.org

Attention All students grades 7th through 12th: You have the opportunity to take the free ACT prep test this Saturday, February 16th! Where: Delavan- Darien High School Large group room Who: All students grades 7th-12th Sign up: Student Services by 3pm this Thursday Test schedule: 8am-1pm (Test: 8-12 PM) Scoring: 12-1pm Bring: #2 Pencils & a calculator (Calculators will be available for check out) Questions?: Contact Mrs. Hehn or Ms. Ortiz Tips: Get 8 hours of sleep the night before the test, eat breakfast and exercise! Schedule: 7:30-8:00 Check in 8:00-8:15 Directions & expectations 8:15-9:00 Test 1 English: 45 minutes & 75 Questions 9:05-10:05 Test 2 Math: 60 minutes & 60 Questions 10:05-10:20 Break 10:25-11:00 Test 3 Reading: 35 minutes & 40 Questions 11:05-11:45 Test 4 Science: 35 minutes & 40 Questions 11:45-12:00 Use key to correct your test 12:00-12:30 Final scored assessment & feedback on your scores

Attention Boys Grades 9-12: There will be Free Learn-To-Play Clinics for the Elkhorn Lacrosse Club on Saturday(s), Feb. 9th, 16th, and 23rd at Elkhorn High School Agility Center from 6PM-8PM. Equipment will be provided, but quantities are limited. Students interested will need to register at elkslacrossesclub.com and also complete the required waiver online in order participate. Attention Students: Order yearbooks now for $45. The last day to Guarantee a yearbook is March 1st. To order a yearbook go to http://jostensyearbooks.com/?REF=A09278200. You must pay at the same time that you order. If you have any questions pertaining to yearbook orders, please direct them to Ms. Huerta. Her email is kahuerta@ddschools.org.

Attention Students: Start College Now and Early College Credit Program (application deadline March 1st) Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors interested in taking college class at one of our nearby technical colleges or university during the Spring of 2019 need to complete an application by March 1, 2019.. Please make an appointment with your counselor to learn about the criteria for this opportunity and to receive an application.

Community Service Opportunity: Delavan Train Show are in need of volunteers for Saturday, March 9th from 8am-4pm and Sunday, March 10th from 9am-4pm. The volunteers will be greeting visitors, hole punch visitors cards, and answer questions about the show. Attention Students: DDHS Band Fundraiser Help support the DDHS Band by supporting their Wendy’s fundraiser February 7 through March 9.  Simply say, “Supports DDHS Bands” when you pay for your meal at Wendy’s and 20% of your purchase goes to the DDHS Band

Community Service Opportunity: The Delavan Lions Club needs 6 student volunteers to help sell 50/50 raffle tickets at their annual Corn Beef and Cabbage fundraiser at The Village Supper Club on Sunday, March 17th from 12:00-2:00, 2:00-4:00, and 4:00-6:00. Please contact Mrs. Brandt by email (cbrandt@ddschools.org) or stop by her room to sign up (Room 123).

Attention Students: DDHS 2019 Prom THEME: An Enchanted Forest DATE: Saturday, April 6, 2019 TIME : 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm (Dinner is on your own) Doors open at 7:00 pm Grand March and Crowning at 7:30 pm No admittance after 8:00 pm LOCATION: The Riviera Building 812 Wrigley Drive – Lake Geneva, WI COST: $30.00 per person TICKET INFORMATION: Tickets for Prom will be on sale during LUNCH ONLY *Sales are Tuesday, April 2 through Friday, April 5
Students must have fees and fines, including lunch fines, paid before purchasing a dance ticket
*Please bring cash (currency), no coin or checks *Students are not allowed to purchase tickets for their friends *Each student must be present to purchase their own ticket *Tickets WILL NOT be sold after lunch on Friday, April 5 *Tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door *Guest passes are available through the Athletic office beginning Monday, March 11 and are due to the Athletic office by 12:13 PM (end of lunch) on Tuesday, April 2, NO EXCEPTIONS.
