Announcements:

ATTENTION STUDENTS: Make sure you are locking your lockers at “All Times”. We have locks on lockers in our hallways and locker rooms for security of personal assets.  The school is not liable for lost, missing or stolen items when students are required to lock their lockers.  Please be aware of your valuables, as well, during physical education courses. The general message is simple: “Lock Up Your Things”.

Juniors & Seniors:  Ms. Mercedes Duran is the new Gateway Technical College representative for D.D.H.S.  If you would like to set an appointment to discuss questions you may have about Gateway courses or programs, please stop in to Student Services during passing times to set up an appointment to meet with Ms. Duran. She will be available for appointments on Thursdays from 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. in Student Services. You must have your teacher’s permission to leave class for your appointment.

Attention Students! Schedule changes for second semester will only be allowed for the following reasons:

  • a senior needs a specific course to meet GRADUATION requirements
  • a failure occurred in the previous year
  • a Work Study/Youth Apprenticeship Program or Youth Options (coursework) needs to be taken into consideration
  • a student has an individualized educational plan (IEP) that needs the student in a certain class/classes
  • a medical recommendation is presented
  • there are conflicting classes or an overload in a class
  • Administration finds the change necessary.

Changes will NOT be made because a student “changes their mind”

Attention Students and Staff:  To help kick off your winter break, we would like to invite everyone to participate in an “Ugly Sweater Day” to take place on Thursday, 12/22, the last school day before break.  Homeroom teachers are asked to have a photo sent to Mrs. Woodman by the end of the school day showing all participants.  Tie-breaker will be awarded based on ugliness of sweaters and a treat will be delivered to your homeroom following the break.

Volunteer Opportunity: Volunteer to Bell Ring for the Salvation Army. If interested, please call (262) 215-7768.

Co-Curricular Activities:
