Attention Students: We have noticed that we have more high school students that are walking across the parking lot to get to the buses at Phoenix. High School students should be taking the buses, waiting on Cummings Street, over to Phoenix. We cannot have high school students walking through the staff parking lot at Phoenix due to a safety concern of cars pulling in & out. If you’re walking over, remain on the sidewalks.
Attention Students: A Representative from the U.S. Marine Corps will be visiting D.D.H.S on Tuesday, January 17th from 11:00 – 12:15 in the Student Services Conference room. Please stop in to Student Services to sign up. You must have your teacher’s permission to attend.
Attention Students: When second semester begins on Tuesday, January 24, if you have study hall listed on your schedule you will be reporting to the Large Group Study Hall. Administrators & counselors will be looking at GPA’s during the week of Jan. 23-27 to determine Honors Study Hall placements for second semester.
Start Stacking Up Your Comet Cash! The PBIS 1st semester drawing will be on February 3, 2017. Students can stop by the AP Office starting Monday, January 24, 2017 to drop off Comet Cash in prize boxes for your chance to win the following: Black Leather Victoria Secret Backpack, 32” Vizio TV, IHome, Wireless Headphones w/ Bluetooth, GoPro, Roku Express – HD Streaming, (2) Soccer Balls, (8) Earbuds, (2) Wireless Mouse, and Various Gift Cards.
Attention Students: Planning on bringing a guest to the Sadie Hawkins dance on February 4th? If so, a Guest Permission Form Building Pass is required for your guest and must be filled out prior to the dance. Forms are available now! Stop by your Athletics office and pick up a guest permission form building pass for your guest! REMEMBER: ALL fees/fines must be paid before you can purchase a dance ticket. Please note: This form is due no later than Wednesday, February 1, 2017 @ 3:00 PM!!
ASVAB: The ASVAB is also known as Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. The ASVAB isn’t just for students entering the military; it is one of the most widely used multiple-aptitude test battery in the world. It gives students an opportunity to identify, understand and organize information about their skills, interests and work-related values. The test lasts about 3 hours. Date: Wednesday, February 8th, 2017 Time/Place: 7:45am/High School For: Any 10th-12th graders. Sign up in Student Services by February 1st.
FAFSA: Receive FREE & Professional Assistance Completing the FAFSA: College Goal WI is hosting an on-site assistance workshop on Saturday, January 28 at Hedberg Public Library in Janesville. Professional’s will be available to help answer all your FAFSA questions and assist you in completing the FAFSA. For more information see your counselor.
DDHS 2017 Prom (Theme is Masquerade) Date: Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 6:00pm – 11pm. Doors will open at 5:45pm. This years Prom will be held at The Riviera, 812 Wrigley Dr, Lake Geneva. Cost is $30 per person. Tickets can only be purchased during lunch starting Monday, March 13 – Friday March 17. Please be aware that “All School Fees Must be Paid” in order to attend this event. This will be a dance only, no dinner.
