Announcements:                                                    

Attention Students: This is a reminder to please present your Student Id’s in order to get into “All” activities here at DDHS, your student Id’s MUST be presented at the time of entrance.  If you do not present your student Id, you will be required to pay the student entrance fee.  This does not include “WIAA TOURNAMENT Events” Id’s are NOT accepted and everyone will be charged a fee during our “WIAA TOURNAMENT Events”  

Summer School 2017: Summer school will begin Monday, June 19, and run for 7 weeks, through August 4. Registration closes Friday, May 12.  You can view and print summer school information and registration sheets here. Summer School packets are also available for pick up in the Main Office, AP Office, Student Services, and AD Office. We are offering the following programming for summer school: * PE (.5 credit) * Health & Wellness (.5 credit) * Online Business & Personal Finance (.5 credit) * Credit Recovery (for classes failed with a 50-59%) * Beginner & Advanced Chess Club * High School Band Camp * Summer Orchestra. Summer School Packets should be turned into the AP Office.

On April 8th, DDHS Junior Makayla Person will be hosting an open house style CPR and AED Training from 12PM – 3:30PM at Delavan Christian School. Aside from training there will be food, activities, and a free will donation, which means there is no cost! Please come out and learn this lifesaving skill!

Attention Seniors: Graduation is right around the corner.  Please make sure you have all your fees and fines paid. This includes lunch fees, any equipment or library materials that have not been returned. You can make payments in the main office or your parent/guardian can make payments online through your Parent Portal.  Payments can be made anytime. If you have questions, please see Mrs. Daniels or Mrs. Pelnar in the main office.

A Representative from U.W. Milwaukee will be visiting DDHS on Friday, April 7th from 9:00 – 10:00 in the Student Services Conference room. Please stop by Student Services to sign up. You must have your teachers permission to attend.

Attention Students: All students registered to write an AP exam in May must attend a pre-administration meeting in the Large Group Study Hall Room (RM124-125) on Tuesday, April 18th at 7:30 am.  Please bring a Number 2 Pencil.

A Representative from U.W. Platteville will be visiting DDHS on Thursday, April 20th from 9:00 – 10:00 in the Student Services Conference room. Please stop by Student Services to sign up. You must have your teachers permission to attend.

Attention Seniors: The graduation committee is in the process of putting together the senior slide show. Drop off pictures in the front office or send pictures via email to Tamika Robinson at robinsontm05@stu.ddschools.org. Please submit 5-7 pictures, including baby pictures, little kids pictures, group pictures, and high school pictures. The deadline to bring in pictures is April 30th.

Community Service Hours Opportunity: Babysitting at Turtle Creek Library during PTO meeting. Tuesday, May 9th from 5:30 – 6:30 Sign up in Student Services

Community Service Hours Opportunity: Lakeland School Fest:  Saturday, May 13th from 9am – 12pm and/or 12pm – 3pm.  At Lakeland’s School Fest you will be helping run activities and booths.  You can sign up all day or for one of the shifts.  Sign up in Student Services by May 11th.

Attention Students: The DDHS Track Team is collecting shoes to be donated to the “Soles 4 Souls” nonprofit organization, who will then send them to people who need them worldwide. There are drop off locations at all the Delavan Public Schools, Focus Sports, Impreza Salon, The Hair Company, and here at school (in the main office and the athletic office). Our goal is to collect 900 pairs of shoes by May 12th, which is the day of our home track meet. Please show your support by donating!

Graduation Speech Guidelines: Prepare a one-page outline highlighting the points of your speech.  Speeches should be either about the past or the future.  Turn in one on each topic if you would like to be considered for either or.  Do not include your name on your outline.  Attach a separate piece of paper to your speech that includes your name and homeroom teacher.  This should be turned into Mrs. Daniels no later than Friday, April 28th at 3:00 pm. The Graduation Committee will be selecting speeches from those submitted by administration.  If your speech is selected, the Graduation Committee may ask the candidates to come in to present a portion of their speech in front of the group before selecting the two speakers for the Graduation Ceremony. Final speeches must be turned in to Ms. Martin by Thursday, May 18th so that copies can be made available to the ASL interpreters. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Martin
