Delavan-Darien High School senior Troy Feeney brought home a trophy from the Wisconsin Forensics Coach’s Association 2017 State Championship Tournament.
Feeney placed third in the Poetry Interpretation category of the event, held March 31-April 1 at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
As a team, Delavan-Darien places 15th overall among Division 3 schools.
Other DDHS students competing for the Comets were: Mikayla Person, Demonstration Speaking; Jacob Prado, Informative Speaking; Payton Zacharias and Ryan Severson, Play Acting; Jonathan Olson, Solo Humorous Acting; and Madison Stone, Special Occasion Speaking.
At the Southern Lakes Conference Forensics Meet on April 5, the DDHS Forensics team had another excellent showing. Special congratulations go out to Jonathan Olson, a finalist in Solo Acting Humorous, Jesus Garcia, a finalist in Poetry, MiKayla Person, winning third place in Demonstration, Troy Feeney, Conference Champion in Poetry, and Payton Zacharias and Ryan Severson, Conference Champions in Play Acting. Hana Reomero and Jacob Prado competed at conference but didn’t place. Congratulations, Comets, on your great season!
