The Google Phishing Scam email has definitely gone worldwide and has been reported on by numerous media outlets. TechCrunch has some info on what to do if you’ve clicked on the link contained in the scam email.

EMAIL SPAM ALERT: In what appears to large “phishing scam” affecting Google Drive and Gmail accounts worldwide (which the district uses), many of you may have received emails purportedly from our staff or students saying they have shared a document with you. ****DO NOT CLICK THE LINK**** included in the email as we believe it is a “phishing” scam. Members of our staff and students have also received multiple such emails. Our IT department is takings steps to block any such emails from coming out of or going into our email server, and we’ve taken steps to delete such messages from our servers. We have heard reports that it is targeting other businesses, schools and personal emails, as well. Thank you.
