Announcements:
Attention All Student Drivers: If you drive to school you need to have a DDHS parking tag displayed in your vehicle. A new parking tag needs to be issued every year. We have blue tags for Seniors and yellow tags for everyone else for 17-18. Students must:
- Have all fees/fines paid before they can purchase a parking tag
- Fill out and sign a Parking Permit/Tag Rules form (available in the main office)
- Parking tags are $15.00 for the first, and $5.00 for each additional parking tag
- If you lose your parking tag it will cost you $5.00 to replace it
Office Schroeder will be checking vehicles for tags on Wednesday, September 13.
Attention Students: Being prepared for your day is a task that we need to do both in school and our jobs. This includes bringing all necessary items with you into the building. Students will not be permitted to exit the building, out to their vehicles, during the day for any reason. If you need something with you (ie. lunch, Chromebook, ID, etc…), bring it into the building with you in the morning and store it in your locker. You will not be permitted to leave the building to get that item.
Attention Students: Just a reminder that if you ordered a yearbook last year (2016-17) you can stop in the Activities/Athletics Office to pick it up.
Attention Students: Stage crew will meet next Tuesday, September 8th at 3pm in the auditorium. New members are encouraged to come and get a tour of our facilities. For more information contact Mr. Larson.
Attention All Students: Wallace’s One Way Driving School is once again offering Driver Education at DDHS. The first class will be offered starting on September 11, 2017 and will be held in Mr. Speth’s Ag Room after school at 3:20-5:20. Homecoming 2017: We are pre-ordering homecoming t-shirts this year! Our theme is “Under the Sea”. Please stop by the Comet Corner (in the cafeteria) during lunchtime on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday (9/11- 9/13) to order and pay for your class color t-shirt. In order to purchase a t-shirt all fees and fines including lunch must be paid. T-shirts will still cost $10 apiece. If you do not order a t-shirt next week, you will not be able to purchase one the week of Homecoming.
Student Council Applications: We are currently accepting applications for students to become class representatives. Applications can be picked up in the athletic office and should be returned to Mrs Hehn in Rm 508 by the end of the day on Friday, Sept 15th.

Community Service Opportunity: Volunteers needed to help with the grade school CLC after school program at Turtle Creek Elementary. You would need your own transportation. The program begins on Thursday, September 21st thru May. The hours are 3:30-5:30 Monday – Friday. If interested, please see Mrs. Minton in room 151 (PBL Lab) or email her at mminton@ddschools.org.
Homecoming Tickets will cost $5 and will be available for purchase beginning Monday, Sept 25th. To purchase tickets, students must have all of their school fees and fines, including lunch, paid completely.
