Delavan-Darien High School’s Annual Financial Reality Fair/Expo, scheduled for Thursday, December 7, from 8:00-11:30 a.m., is in need of volunteers. No experience necessary, and this activity is a lot of fun for both adults and students, said Business Education Teacher Jodi Scott.

This year, with the school requiring students to take a Personal Financial Literacy class, we estimate about 240 students participating from Delavan-Darien High School.

The approximate start time will be 8:00 a.m.; wrapping up around 11:30 a.m., with lunch provided.  School staff will contact volunteers prior to the event with specific details regarding exact times and specific directions for the day of the event.

Reality fair volunteers typically staff stations in this mock exercise that teaches students about adult life outside of school — paying bills, managing a family, buying a car or home, etc.

If you would like to learn more about Reality Fair Expo, please call the business education department at 262-233-6634 or email jscott@ddschools.org. The reality fair is an awesome experience for both students and volunteers.

We will appreciate hearing from you and look forward to our continued working relationship in helping us financially educate our students.
