Delavan-Darien High School’s longtime student newspaper, the Cometeer, is back.
Former Delavan Enterprise newspaper editor Thom Aiello is advising the small group of students, who have resurrected the first edition for November 2017 (Download it here). The paper probably hasn’t been produced in over a decade (Nobody is really quite sure.)
The newspaper is currently in PDF format only. For now, this and future editions of the PDF will be posted to the Delavan-Darien Parent Newsletter website under the “Cometeer” tab: https://www.ddschools.org/for-parents/newsletters/#cometeer. Parents and students will also be emailed the latest editions of the Cometeer, which should come out about quarterly.
Aiello said he hopes to digitize the articles and have them come online before the PDF edition is compiled. We’re hopeful to have Cometeer articles become a part of our district and school website before the end of the semester.

Phoenix Rising Student Newspaper
In addition to advising the Cometeer, Aiello is also advising a group of talented Phoenix Middle School writers to put together a newspaper/newsletter for our sixth, seventh and eighth grade students.
The Phoenix Rising student newspaper is also a PDF edition currently, with plans to become digital in the coming weeks. The November 2017 edition can be downloaded here.

Phoenix Rising started out as a club in 2015 and comes out about four times per year.
