Candy Cane Sale!
How would you like to send a special treat to your friends? Well, Candy Canes will be for sale Wed.-Fri. during lunch this week! They are $1 each and will be delivered Dec. 19th to your friend’s first Academic hour class. All you need to do to order yours is to fill out a ticket with your friend’s name and first academic hour teacher, pay your $1, and we will take care of the rest!
Newpaper Club Meets Thursday!
The Phoenix Rising Newspaper Club will meet at 2:50 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 14) in the library. The meeting will be done by 3:40 p.m. Please note the earlier ending time. Please have arrangements to have a ride home. New students are also welcome – come and find out how to have your “voice” heard! If you are interested in the club, but cannot attend the meeting, contact the advisor, Mr. Thom Aiello, at thomaiello@gmail.com
Fundraiser Pick-Up
If you sold items in our fundraiser, the pick-up date is this Thursday, December 14th from 2:30-5:00 PM. Bring your parent to our cafeteria during this time to pick up your items so you can deliver them to your customers! Thank you again for supporting our school!
Activity Night this Friday Night!
Reminder that there is an Activity Night this Friday, Dec. 15th. It is $4 or $3 with your Student ID. Activity Night will be from 6-8. Please remember that doors close at 6:30 and to have your ride here by 8:00 pm. We would like to end our Food Drive by requesting that everyone bring a canned good as well, if they can, to donate to our local Food Pantry.

The Winter/Spring 2018 Delavan-Darien Recreation Activity Guide is here! You can pick it up in the front office.
Student Council Food Drive
The Student Council will be hosting a Food Drive Dec. 4-15. Please bring in any non-perishable food items or toiletries that you would like to donate and place them in your Homeroom collection box. There will be a prize for the Homeroom that collects the most items. The food will be donated to our local Food Pantry which provides food for those in our community who are in need.
Winter Break
Winter Break begins later next week! We have school up through Wednesday, December 20. We will not have school beginning Thursday, December 21 through Monday, January 1st. School will resume on Tuesday, January 2nd. Happy Holidays!
Birthday Bulletin Board
Students, please take some time and check out our New Birthday Bulletin Board right across from the canteen and wish your friends or teachers a Happy Birthday!
Daddy-Daughter Dance
We have information in the office for the 17th Annual Daddy-Daughter Dance that is sponsored through the Delavan Park & Rec. The dance will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018. Stop by the office and pick up a flyer if you are interested in going this year!
Cold Weather Clothing
Students! The cold weather is upon us! Be sure to bring your jackets, hats, gloves and anything else you may need to stay warm outside with you to your lunch period. When lunch is done, you are not allowed to be in the hallways and/or at your lockers. Bring those items with you to the cafeteria when lunch begins.
