Payton Zacharias
Payton Zacharias, daughter of Vicky and Dan Zacharias, and Richard Karbash, son of Trisha and Mark Karbash, have been selected as the Delavan Rotary Club students for the month of November.
Payton participates in school plays, International club, TRAIL club, Thespian Society, Forensics, Comet Mentors, and Destination Imagination. She is a member of the National Honor Society. Payton fosters animals, volunteers with vacation bible school, and with the DD Athletic Booster club at the Walworth County fair booth. She has also volunteered at two haunted houses and is involved with Hope Fest at Faith Baptist church. After high school Payton hopes to attend UW-River Falls. She is currently undecided regarding a major but is interested in criminal psychology.
Richard participates in student council, TRAIL club, musicals, choir, One Act plays, summer plays, Comet Mentors, Thespian Society and jazz and marching band. Richard is a member of the National Honor Society. He volunteers with DAYS (Delavan Area Youth Foundation), Our Redeemer Cantata, with band and choir, and sings with Lydian choir for the community. After high school Richard plans to attend UW-Whitewater and major in political science and computer science and join choir, jazz and theatre.
