DELAVAN — The Delavan-Darien School District Foundation’s annual fundraiser will be at a new location with a new name and added fun this year.
The Blue & Gold Bash will be hosted by Rosewood (formerly Millie’s Pancake House) at the intersection of County Highway O South and South Shore Drive (2484 County Road O South, Delavan).
The event features three chef-attended dinner stations, a dessert station, wine and micro-brew beer tasting, cash bar, music, a silent auction, raffles, and new this year, interactive game show games with a chance to win prizes.
Tickets are $35 and attendees must be 21 or older to enter. Tickets are available online only at http://www.ddschools.org/bash/tickets. Tickets are limited in number due to space so buy early to reserve your seats.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner from 6-7:30 p.m. Interactive games follow in Rosewood’s spectacular theater room, which features four large flat-screen HDTVs combined for an unmatched viewing experience. The silent auction will be going on throughout the evening.
Attendees can buy tickets to join in the interactive game show games. Several of the games will be free so there’s a chance for all to play.
All proceeds benefit the Delavan-Darien School District Foundation’s scholarships, which are awarded annually to deserving Delavan-Darien High School graduates for continuing post-secondary education expenses.
In 2016, 38 of the school’s top 45 academically-ranked graduating students (through seven semesters) all got at least one local scholarship award.
The Delavan-Darien Foundation awarded $72,400 in scholarships to 48 students.
The total local scholarship amount from 132 area scholarship providers — including awards managed by the Foundation — was $144,350, going to 65 total students.
Multiple sponsorship options are available for Foundation supporters, including:
- Comet Champion: $1,000
- Platinum: $750
- Gold: $500
- Blue: $250
- Silent Auction Donation
Sponsors will receive special recognition in various ways at the event depending on level.
