Attention Students: The AP Exam ordering window is open. All students planning to take an AP Exam this school year must order the exam by 3:00 PM on March 23, 2018. The 2018 AP Exam fee is $94.00. Order sheets are available in Student Services, The AP Office, and the AP classrooms. Please submit your completed order with payment to Mrs. Jasso in the AP Office.
Attention Students: NEWSPAPER CLUB MEETS THURSDAY: The Delavan-Darien High School Cometeer Newspaper Club will meet at 2:50 p.m. Thursday (March 1) in the Phoenix Middle School library. The meeting will be done by 3:50 p.m. Please have arrangements to have a ride home. New students are also welcome – come and find out how to have your “voice” heard! Attention Students: DDHS Annual Blood Drive: Student Council is hosting our annual Blood Drive on Thursday, March 8th from 8am to 1pm in the East Gym. Students that are 17 years old or older are eligible to donate. Students that are 16 years old must have a signed parent consent form in order to donate. Refreshments will be provided and donors will also receive a ticket voucher for a future Milwaukee Admirals hockey game! Students must have schedule an appointment and bring a valid photo ID. Attention: Announcing Moby Dick The Musical March 9th and 10th at 7pm and March 11th at 2pm. Musical Theater International proclaims: “Cult hit, Moby Dick! The Musical, is a giant over-the-top retelling of the classic novel…This goofy romp does to Herman Melville what The Rocky Horror Show does to midnight horror movies!” Get your tickets at the door or in advance from the Athletic office $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. It will be general seating this year so get here early to claim your seat.
Attention Students: Community Service Opportunity: You would greet visitors, answer questions about the train show and the city, hole punch visitors cards, and other various tasks. The Delavan Train Show is looking for volunteers. Dates: Saturday, March 10 from 8am-4pm and Sunday, March 11th from 9am-4pm.Sign up in Student Services.
Attention Students: Community Service Opportunity!: The Delavan Lions Club is looking for volunteers for their Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner on Sunday, March 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Village Supper Club on Delavan Lake. The shifts are from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm and 3 pm to 7 pm. We are looking for students to work either the early or late shift that day to earn community service hours for the high school. Students who volunteer for the Delavan Lions Club fundraisers are strongly considered for one of the five scholarships sponsored by the club. Attention 9-11th Graders: You and your family are encouraged to attend a Preparing for College Workshop, Monday March 12th , 6:00-7:15 PM in the D-DHS Auditorium. During this event you will learn: projected future college costs, the basics of financial aid, academic strategies to best prepare you for college, ways to make you stand out during the admissions process, and financial tips for parents and students.
Attention Juniors: American Legion Auxiliary Badger Girls State Applications are now available in the office of Student Services. All girls with a strong interest in leadership, character, and fitness are encouraged to apply. Badger Girls State is hosted by the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh from June 17-22, 2018. Selection will be determined by a panel with representation from D-DHS and the American Legion Auxiliary. Two students will be selected along with two alternates.
