Attention Students: Here at Turtle Creek we will be having our end of the year field day. We will be outside and will have different activity stations for students to rotate through. We are looking for volunteers to run a specific station on June 4th. If the weather is not suitable, our make-up (rain date) is June 5th. Volunteers would have to be able to join us on the make-up date if needed. The timeframe is either 8:30-11:45 AND/OR 12-3:15. If you could give me the name of volunteers by the end of this week, that would be wonderful! At this time, we have 12 spots open. I have attached the schedule and activities if you are interested.
2018-2019 10th and 11th Graders, Next year we will again have the PSAT/NMSQT Test. This stands for Pre-SAT/National Merit Scholarship Corporation. By taking this test you can see if you qualify for any National Merit Scholarships, your college readiness, estimated SAT score and academic strengths/weaknesses. This a great opportunity to practice standardized tests in order to prepare for the ACT and/or SAT.
Only Juniors are eligible for the National Merit Scholarship. The test date is October 10th, 2018. The cost for the test is $16. If you are a junior on free/reduced lunch you are eligible for a fee waiver (first come first serve basis). If you are interested in taking the test please sign up in Student Services. No need to pay yet, I just want to see how many are interested. The sign up will remain open until September 10th, 2018. You may also grab a Quick Reference Guide to the PSAT in Student Services.
