NEWSPAPER CLUB MEETS THURSDAY
The Phoenix Rising Newspaper Club will meet at 2:55 p.m. Thursday (May 24) in the school library. The meeting will be done by 3:50 p.m. Please have arrangements to have a ride home. This will be the end-of-the-school-year party! If you are interested in the club for the future, contact the advisor, Mr. Thom Aiello, at thomaiello@gmail.com.
Fitness Center CLOSED!
The fitness center will be closed after school for the remainder of the school year. Any student who needs to make up Phy-Ed classes should see your P.E. teacher.
Time to return the Library Books!
The final due date for student library books this school year is Friday, May 25th. The last day for book check-out is May 23rd. Please make every effort to return your books as the end of the school year approaches. Any materials (library books and textbooks) that are not returned will be added to your student account and fines will follow you through graduation! In addition, please remember that when you turn in your Chromebooks, the Chromebook, case & charger will be collected. If you have questions, feel free to stop by the library.
Talent Show
The annual Phoenix Talent Show will be held on Monday, June 4th. Tryouts will be after school on Tuesday, 5/29. Now is a good time to start picking out and practicing your act. We are looking for variety – singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and other wacky talents! If you have any questions, see Mrs. R, Ms. Engerson, or Ms. Deck
Consequences for Wearing a Hat or Hoodie
When a student is caught wearing a hoodie or hat in school, the item is confiscated and turned into the office for safe-keeping. The consequences are as follows:
1st Offence: Student may pick it up at the end of the day.
2nd Offence: Parent must pick up the item in the office.
3rd & Subsequent Offences: Parent pick-up and student will receive an In-School Suspension.
