Attention All Students: Your yearbooks are scheduled to ship no later than Friday. Because the plant is in Loves Park, IL that means you will get your books the next day. So they will be at DDHS no later than Monday (6/4). If you are a senior and unable to pick up your yearbook, you will receive it at graduation.
Attention Students: If you owe lunch money, please pay before lunch ends. Otherwise, if you just need your paper stamped, you can stop by the cafeteria anytime before 1:00PM, Friday, June 1st or anytime before 3:00PM on Monday, June 4th.
Attention Students: IT will be collecting Chromebooks from Seniors on Friday, June 1st and June 4-5 for Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors. It is essential that the Chromebook, Case, and the ADAPTER, all be turned in, at the same time. Students will be charged for damages, and missing pieces, at the time of collection.
Attention Students: The Spring Sports Awards Program will be Wednesday, June 6th, starting at 6:30 in the auditorium.
Attention Students: Driver Education class for this Summer session still has room available. The class begins on Tuesday June 12 and class time is 12:00pm to 2:00pm. 2018-2019 10th and 11th Graders, Next year we will again have the PSAT/NMSQT Test. This stands for Pre-SAT/National Merit Scholarship Corporation. By taking this test you can see if you qualify for any National Merit Scholarships, your college readiness, estimated SAT score and academic strengths/weaknesses. This a great opportunity to practice standardized tests in order to prepare for the ACT and/or SAT.
Only Juniors are eligible for the National Merit Scholarship. The test date is October 10th, 2018. The cost for the test is $16. If you are a junior on free/reduced lunch you are eligible for a fee waiver (first come first serve basis). If you are interested in taking the test please sign up in Student Services. No need to pay yet, I just want to see how many are interested. The sign up will remain open until September 10th, 2018. You may also grab a Quick Reference Guide to the PSAT in Student Services.
