Can YOU complete all 50 challenges?!?!

Newspaper Meeting Rescheduled for THIS Thursday!
The Phoenix Rising Newspaper Club will meet at 2:50 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 18) in the library. The meeting will be done by 3:40 p.m. Please note the earlier ending time. Please have arrangements to have a ride home. This is a make-up meeting of last week’s weather-related postponement. New students are also welcome – come and find out how to have your “voice” heard! If you are interested in the club, but cannot attend the meeting, contact the advisor, Mr. Thom Aiello, at thomaiello@gmail.com

Cell Phone Usage
Cell phones CAN NOT be used during your lunch time and/or during your recess time. Cell phones should be out of sight from 7:20 am until 2:46 pm and earbuds/headphones need to be removed upon building entry. If you need to contact your parent, please use the student phone in the front office. Please ask your teacher and get a pass before coming down to the office to use the phone!

Need Winter Clothing?
Any students that need winter clothing (winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves) please stop by the Student Services Office.

Do you like Pizza??
With the purchase of a yearbook in January and February, you will automatically be entered into a drawing to win a Pizza Hut gift card! What’s better than viewing all your memories in the #studentlife yearbook and eating pizza? The Yearbooks cost $27.00. Yearbooks can be purchased through Infinite Campus Parent Portal, Jostens’ Yearbook website, or in the School Office (cash or check). The drawing for the Pizza Hut gift cards will occur at the end of February! See Ms. Poritz with any questions you may have about the yearbook.

Morning Drop-Off
Students: If you are getting dropped off in the front of the building in the morning before 7:30 am, you need to walk around to the back of the school. It would be better if you were dropped off at the back of the school and not in front of the school. You can only use the front entrance after 7:30 am, when it is raining, or the temperature is negative 0 with the wind chill.

Swim Camp!
Join coaches Emily McClellan & Matt Palma at the Delavan-Darien Winter Swim Camp! Practice all four strokes and learn about competitive swimming! Winter session began January 8th! Sign up today for this and/or the next session! Sign up at www.delavanparkrec.com or visit the Delavan Park and Rec office. For more information, pick up a flyer in the front office.

Daddy-Daughter Dance
We have information in the office for the 17th Annual Daddy-Daughter Dance that is sponsored through the Delavan Park & Rec. The dance will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018. Stop by the office and pick up a flyer if you are interested in going this year!

Cold Weather Clothing
Students! The cold weather is upon us! Be sure to bring your jackets, hats, gloves and anything else you may need to stay warm outside with you to your lunch period. When lunch is done, you are not allowed to be in the hallways and/or at your lockers. Bring those items with you to the cafeteria when lunch begins.
